During the meeting, our engineering team reviewed several humanoid robot components, including joint housings, arm links, brackets, shafts, structural parts, and other precision-machined components. The overseas technical team shared CAD models and discussed the functional requirements of each component with our engineers.

A key topic was the transition from CAD design to CNC manufacturing. Our engineers evaluated whether the current designs could be efficiently produced using CNC milling, turning, drilling, grinding, and other machining processes. Particular attention was given to material selection, dimensional tolerances, wall thickness, machining access, hole structures, tool clearance, and assembly interfaces.

For complex humanoid robot components, 5-axis CNC machining can provide important advantages by reducing multiple setups and improving access to complex surfaces. Our team discussed how machining orientations and process sequences could be planned according to the geometry of each CAD model. Where necessary, manufacturing suggestions were discussed to reduce machining difficulty while maintaining the original functional requirements.

The meeting also covered DFM (Design for Manufacturing) considerations. Before production, identifying potential manufacturing issues in the CAD model can help reduce machining risks, unnecessary costs, and production delays. For robot developers and engineering companies working on prototypes or low-volume production, early communication between designers and manufacturers is especially important.

Shenzhen Jingcheng Dingyi has experience manufacturing custom CNC machined robot parts for robotics and automation applications. By working directly with engineering teams during the design and quotation stage, we can evaluate drawings, provide manufacturing feedback, and develop suitable machining processes for complex precision components.

This technical collaboration demonstrates the importance of close communication between international engineering teams and CNC manufacturers. From CAD drawing review to CNC machining and quality inspection, our goal is to help robotics companies turn complex designs into manufacturable precision parts efficiently.
