Jingcheng recently completed CNC machining of 200 stainless steel components for a medical equipment project from Germany.
The project required a relatively short production schedule, so the machining team arranged the production process around the customer's delivery requirements while maintaining the dimensional requirements specified in the drawings.

The components contain several precision features that require controlled machining from different directions. 5-axis CNC machining was selected for the main production process to provide better access to the part geometry and reduce repeated setups.
Stainless steel was used for the components because of the material requirements of the application. Compared with aluminum, stainless steel generally requires more attention to cutting conditions, tool wear and heat during machining.
After the main machining operations were completed, each component went through manual deburring. This step was particularly important for removing sharp edges and machining residues around holes, pockets and other detailed areas.
The parts were then cleaned and inspected. The inspection process focused on the critical dimensions and functional surfaces identified in the customer's drawings.
Because this was a medical-related project with an urgent delivery schedule, communication between production and quality inspection was maintained throughout the process. The goal was to identify potential issues as early as possible rather than waiting until the final inspection stage.
